Music on the buses
The other day I was travelling on the bus, seems quiet today I thought no
music being played, spoke too soon, in pullsthe bus to a bus stop, on gets a
woman in her 40s, she sat down. I glanced over my shoulder, and she pulls
headphones out of her bag, next thing there is such a racket as she played
her music full blast, I put up with it until the bus came in to the bus
station, I turned around and gave her a gesture with my hand to turn it down
a touch, she ignored me so I waited until the bus stopped at traffic lights,
went to the driver and asked him to ask her to turn it down, before we are
all as deaf as her. He leaned out of his cab and told her to turn it down,
she did so but then started to give me verbal abuse, I gave it back but I
thought this could get of of hand, so I ignored her as much as possible,
she could not see what she was doing wrong, and I was in the wrong forsaying
anything to her about it, I was called a miserable so and so amongst other
things, and I thought is it me or what , anybody else had any similar
experiences, this is mostly kids that do this, but this one was no kid andI
would never have thought she would have reacted like that

My God she should be eternally grateful it was you on that bus and not
I :)))))))). On the other hand for choice I would sooner have had to
put up with that than two kids both in their " buggy's"squawking their
heads of and Mothers doing sod all about em for the entire 40 minute
journey has I had to endure this afternoon .

The sad thing is that when they listen to their music that loud, they've
already damaged their own hearing beyond repair. For the rest of us,
it's annoying, and I agree with your decision to intervene, but it's
hardly going to make you deaf...
