i am pleased to see many messages about bus driving in this
group.it,s a great job to be involved with because every day is
different,it takes a lot of guts to drive such big awesome creatures
like a double decker or a bendi bus on our roads especially in london
today.they do not handle like a motor car when doing turns at corners
and bends, but the average car driver thinks they do, and thru their
ignorance is why many accidents happen on our roads, give us more room
to move.if every driver was to adhere to the highway code showing
proper manners and patience it would be a safer place on our roads.we
are called driver operators these days and a lot of rules and
regulations are put in place to safeguard our passengers on their
journeys.most bus drivers will carry on a 9 hour duty 1000 passengers
on average.the first rule we have to adhere to is the safety and
comfort of all our passengers.i would like for a organisation like the
bbc to do is a program on bus drivers like a day in the life to what
it is like to drive a bus in our cities, to see what happens on a
daily basis as a bus driver, i think it would open a lot of minds to
the responsibilities of a bus driver.

Why not contact the production team for "Inside Out" in your area and
suggest it?- yourinsideout@bbc.co.uk if you live in the BBC London region.
It sounds like a good idea and the worst they can do is reject it!

It's already been done. The BBC had a series called 'Big Red Bus'
featuring one of the London Depots a couple of years ago.

suggest it?- yourinsideout@bbc.co.uk if you live in the BBC London region.
It sounds like a good idea and the worst they can do is reject it!

It's already been done. The BBC had a series called 'Big Red Bus'
