Arriva NE 93 / X56
I see Arriva NE have re-routed their Middlesbrough - Whitby -
Scarborough through service via Loftus, adding 30 mins to the journey
time (now numbered X56). The direct Middlesbrough - Whitby route
(still 93) has a reduced service which terminates at Whitby.

At times when the 93 is running, it is faster to change at Whitby than
to stay on the slower through bus. Arriva seem to be doing nothing to
advertise this fact to the unwary.

Anyone know why they have done something so odd? Surely this is likely
to lead to more people chosing to drive rather than either make a
change or have a longer bus journey.
