What do you think of budget airlines?
Dear Member of uk.transport.air (Google Groups),

As part of my master of Science program, I am interested in studying
the opinions of UK consumers from various backgrounds on budget
carriers/airlines which are also known as low cost carriers/airlines,
discount carriers/airlines or no-frills carriers/airlines. This survey
is not
about cheap flights of charter airlines and legacy carriers. This
survey is mainly based on budget airlines. Budget airlines usually
offer a single class ticket, have no business lounges, and their food
and drink is not free and thus needs to be bought. Examples of such
airlines include EasyJet, Ryanair, Bmibaby, Flybe etc.

I will very much appreciate your participation in this study by
completing this questionnaire. This will take approximately 10 minutes
of your time. There are no right or wrong answers in this
questionnaire. Your participation is completely anonymous and
voluntary. You response will be used only for statistical purposes and
not on an individual basis. You are free to discontinue your
participation at any time.

Since this research is necessary for the successful completion of my
MSC program, I sincerely hope that you will agree to participate in
this survey.

Thank you for your valuable time and kind participation.

I've completed your questionnaire but can I just point out that one of the
questions is repeated. Also, I found the range of answers (as I often do
with questionnaires) too restricted. The first one, about how I contact
airlines - I use all sorts of methods depending on where I am, what
facilities I have available and precisely what I want to find out. For
instance, if I have a specific question about airport handling I would
probably use a telephone but just making a booking the internet. Note that
the choice for making a booking via the internet is often not because I want
to do it that way but because the airline (effetively) forces me that way.
