How strange ...
... that the pics of Doug on the Lewisham Cyclists site that have been
posted to this group have mysteriously disappeared.

Look at http://www.lewishamcyclists.net/images/Gallery/BW06%20Get%20Cycling/Get%20cycling%20BW06%20pic.html#1

for example. There is a gap where pics 3 and 12, which showed Gollum
in all his glory, used to be. I wonder what could have happened to
them?

Did anyone archive them, btw?

They'll almost certainly be found on www.archive.org if nowhere else.
Try the "Wayback Machine"

Wikipedia also has a page

Pretty good if your not a Grateful Dead fan...

Both the large & the small images seem to have been removed on June 2nd,

Gollum missed one of them:

http://www.lewishamcyclists.net/images/Gallery/Peoples%20Day%2006/Large/PeoplesDay2006%20Large202.jpg

Don't worry, Gollum, I've saved that one, and will find somewhere
suitable for it to go.

<snigger>

Bollum seems to think that removing the images covers up his snail
trail. Whereas it makes it all the more obvious.

Two of them, in fact. Although the one you reference above has now gone
from the People's Day 2006 index page. It looks like Duhng is having a
busy day.

Sadly for him I got to the Blythe Hill photo before he did, so that's
archived as are the two incriminating shots of him with the bicycle
outside his house in Catford.

I am very familiar with the area and can confirm that picture was taken in
 the famous street.

Thanks, it's fairly easily confirmed by Google Earth and Microsoft Live.
The post behind Bollum has a distinctive plate attached to it, and the
peeling whitewashed wall and hedge are also giveaways (as are the houses
to each side and across the road). If it were presented in a court, I
doubt anyone would be impressed by the Bolltard's denials.

Not relevant to uk.transport but typical of the hypocritical behaviour
of the motorists who dominate and infest this NG and then accuse
others of doing exactly as they do, namely posting OT.

Why do you have to wait for other people to do things before improving your
