Sleep Apnea
I picked up a leaflet in the local Nuffield Hospital advertising their
new sleeping disorders clinic.
Drag is - (So they say) if you make an appointment and turn up because
you have a sleep disorder they *will* inform the DVLC who *will* pull
your driving licence until your condition is inder control, (Poss.
just a few days) .
Bear this in mind folks if your job depends on your driving licence.
So - if you are a bit overweight and snore a lot and are thinking of
getting it sorted -
* DON'T *

Gosh, that's a new rule. They didn't do that when I saw a specialist and had
a "sleep study" where they monitor your oxygen levels and brain patterns (to
work out when and how deeply you sleep). My girlfriend was moaning about how
loudly I snored so I thought I'd better get it investigated. Mind you, the
results were highly untypical - sleeping in a very narrow bed with a very
hard mattress, tethered by wires so I couldn't turn over (I find it very
difficult to keep still in bed!) and kept awake by the Jumbo Jet snores from
another person having a similar study in another room.

If you really feel that you suffer from this, self diagnose and
prescribe. I use modolert 200 available by describing you condition by
an e mail to a doctor in the states who writes you a prescription to a
pharmecy in Turkey who send your medication by courier from India.
I was dubious it was a scam but I thought, what the hell it's not that
much money, it's worth a gamble so I used a redundant visa debit card
with hardly any funds in it just in case it was dodgy but it turned
out pukka.
My food consumption has declined markedly, I am more awake all day, no
getting tired mid afternoon, I get more done every day. I drink less
and so far no side effects whatsoever.
Google and you will find plenty of offshore suppliers, persist with
your checking as prices for the same item differ widely.

Not a problem when I went to a sleep clinic, but that was NHS, not private.

It is a lot safer to get a mandibular advancement device made up by your
dentist, which will cure 80% of cases. The programmes doctors use throw up
warnings about side effects and synergy problems, if you are on other drugs,
that you won't get buying drugs over the internet.
