OT, but funny
Article from today's Observer, in which their food critic tries to go
vegan for a week. He gave up after 5 days, complaining (amongst other
things) of feeling constantly grouchy. I'm not sure what triggered
the link in my mind between this article and this group. Any ideas?

Isn't a grouchy a small green vegetable flown in from the Andes?

There's more than one variety. Another is a small bipedal herbivor with a
deathly pallor.

It is thought (and hoped) that it will become extinct quite shortly.

Sadly not, apparently it procreated. However, we can but hope that the
offspring have evolved into a life form more in tune with their environment.

I suspect his kids are normal, which is why he appears to have so
little to do with them (or rather, why they have so little to do with
him).

There is but one Bollum.

I also like the accompanying the accompanying blog to this article.

http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/food/2008/06/my_vegan_hell.html

One comment says: "Being vegan is not just about taste. If you can't
raise your eyes above the sensation on your palate, you'll never
understand vegans."

Blimey, make it sound attractive, why don't you? Think I'll stick
with grub that tastes of something, thanks ...
