?100m for cyclists - Another COLOSAL waste of taxpayers money !   
Seen on teletext:
The Gov. is going to spend £100m on Bristol and 10 other cities to 
facilitate and promote cycling.
Apparently the target is to get 2.5m people on their bikes.

I have no objection to the idea in principle, cyclists are easier to 
overtake then 4x4's, (or if you not bothered about your paintwork you can 
just nudge them out of the way :-).

Call me sceptic, but I would be very surprised if they get even 25k people 
on their bikes on the odd short flat earth journey, if and when the weather 
is guaranteed to stay absolutely fine....

Another COLOSSAL waste of taxpayers money !

There are no flat routes in Bristol.
