Holidaymakers face 40% hike in airfares due to soaring price of fuel.
This should reduce hypermobility somewhat.

"Air fares could rise by 40 per cent because of the soaring cost of
oil, industry experts warned yesterday.

The increase threatens to put holidays abroad out of reach for
thousands of families.

It comes on top of fuel surcharges which have already added up to
£872 to the cost of a long-haul flight for a family of four..."

How will this effect you Doug seeing the old benefit cheque probably
won't stretch to a foreign holiday anyway? Were you planning a spot of
F-H-mobility?

A reduction in the number of people travelling on aircraft with kids?
Posting good news is not your normal style Doug.

I see your pimple-sized brain still can't think beyond the confines of
cut and paste from the Daily Heil.

There are no fuel surchages on flights from the two biggest budget
airlines, and most package holidays use charter flights operating at
close to 100% loading. So again I find a line that it will "put holidays
out of reach of thousands of families" to be incredible.

Presumably given the trash you have posted here before, what the means
is "journalist pissed off because cost of last-minute unplanned flights
to exotic locations has gone up."

Nore likely it's the case that the more accurate headline of "Increasing oil
proces will not unduly push up the price of your package holiday" does not
make good copy.

Before the budget airlines, I used to book package holidays and then
simply not turn up at the hotel. I can always find somewhere better to
stay than the shithole package hotels and getting a flight for two to
Greece for £150 was a good price compared to BA/Olympic.
