Nobody suggested that they were.  It is the reason behind the
suggestion that is pertinent.  Does that reason apply to cyclists?  If
not, why not?

What on earth are primary units, Gollum?  I pay a flat rate of 10.5p
per unit irrespective of my usage.  The fact that you are overpaying
by 50% is neither here nor there (or are you such a scrote that you
are on a prepay meter?)

You clearly reveal your ignorance, as the efficiency of the car is
irrelevant to the issue under discussion i.e. whether petrol is
