I've tried that on my PAP2 and entered my Tesco telephone number and
password, but without success. What other settings will I need for
PAP2?

I have my Tesco account registered with mysipswitch using the following:
Username: My Tesco phone number
Password: My Tesco password
Server: sip.tescointernetphone.com
Perhaps you're putting in to much info?

I've entered those parameters.

One of the problems with the PAP2 is that there are dozens of other
parameters. For example, it has both "Proxy" and "Outbound proxy". I
don't know what the difference is so I've set them both to
sip.tescointernetphone.com
For example then it asks:
Use Outbound Proxy: <yes/no>
Use OB Proxy In Dialog: <yes/no>
Use DNS SRV: <yes/no>
DNS SRV Auto Prefix: <yes/no>
Voice Mail Server:
I've no idea what to put in them and have just left them as I had set
for my earlier settings for VoipBuster.

If it helps. I have been unable to log on to Tesco VOIP today myself
using my PAP2.
I have used the basic settings I always have but it just doesn't seem
to log on. Sorry, but don't have the time to do further checks ATM.

After spending the usual few hours trying every conceivable PAP2
option, I finally got it to connect on Sunday evening. Success was
shortlived, however, and for the past couple of days it has refused to
connect saying:
Can't connect to login server

Care to read off the "Proxy & registration settings" (advanced mode)
giving the following:
Proxy:
Use Outbound Proxy: yesno
Outbound Proxy:
Use OB Proxy In Dialog: yesno
Register: yesno
Make Call Without Reg: yesno
Register Expires:
Ans Call Without Reg: yesno
Use DNS SRV: yesno
DNS SRV Auto Prefix: yesno
Proxy Fallback Intvl:

Hi,
Just revisiting this thread after some time out of the country. Sorry
for the delay in replying.
I have tried again with my PAP2 in UK and another PAP2 in Spain and am
unable to connect to Tesco Internet Phone service. I have played about
with just about all the usual settings but cannot get the thing to
register. The same PAP2's works fine with voip.co.uk, sipgate and
voiptalk.org. No matter which settings I use I am unable to get it to
log on to Tesco.
Ironically, I have a very 'cheap and cheerful' Chinese ATA that I
bought from Digidave on Ebay a year or so back. Using the three basic
log on items it works perfectly with Tesco and never fails to connect.
Unless someone can post that their PAP2 is working with Tesco, I am
beginning to wonder if there isn't something more happening here such
as Tesco's VOIP company rejecting PAP2 connections?
Al.
