Are e2save getting slower with cashback cheques
I have had multiple mobiles with them for years and never had a single
problem getting cashback cheques on time but have one claim sent in 11 weeks
ago an no cheque. How are others finding them and best way to chase?

Check the e2save threads in the mobile phone forum at
moneysavingexpert.com

They've been playing silly buggers for some time.

My last contract and cashback with them went flawlessly.

Having taken out another, I've today fired off a claim via MCOL
because they've failed to honour the first cashback claim. They've
obviously adjusted their business model along the lines of Mobileshop.

Good job I did too because the MCOL site has since gone down......

How overdue are they and how much do they owe you. What does it cost to do
MCOL?

Claim in March, for £80. So it's around 13 weeks.

MCOL fee was £20 which is now e2Save's responsibility.

Plus interest.......CPW must be very proud of one of their
siblings......

My typo, too many E numbers in my curry last night threw my fingers
out of synch!!; FLBA (not FBLA!) = Final Letter Before Action.

Having read the MSE thread I sent in mine in May with some trepidation,
however got my cheque back no problems within 2-3 weeks.

One personal policy I've just changed is to use Special rather than
Recorded Delivery despite the cost of 6 quid (including consequential
loss insurance): maybe it's just me, but apart from being safe if the
letter *does* go astray, my theory is that it marks me out as an
applicant who means business and will have no qualms about MCOLing, and
is therefore not worth trucking about with!

I will give them a call in the morning and see what they have to say. Two of
my mobiles are nearly at the end of their 18 month contracts. Normally I
would take a look at the e2save web site but this has put me off.

I've not had much success phoning them. No one answered the phone!
I think there are some numbers in the MSE thread and check out
saynoto0870.com.

Re Special Delivery - I've been okay with recorded.
However, only send ONE claim per envelope.
I once sent two, almost identical, claims together and they claimed
they only found one. After a few indignant emails and a few months
they gave in.
If I'd had to go to court I don't know how I'd have proven my case.
I thought it was a particularly devious tactic.

If you are claiming they've messed up a deal remember to claim for the
WHOLE of the deal rather than just the missed payment. This is
explained at MSE.

Rang this morning and got straight through. It seems like the address I sent
the claim to has changed and the PO divert has proven inefficient. The guy
was most apologetic and said a cheque would be sent soon. So I will wait as
I can't do with chasing these things up!

Hmmm, I have an email from them saying my cheque would be sent soon
and it never materialised.

I suspect you might need to file a claim against them.

Indeed it has. However, according to people on the MSE forum, if people
have posted their claims to the new address, 2save have used (or tried
to) that as a justification not to fulfil the claim, as it wasn't the
address stipulated on the T&Cs sent to the customer! Not sure I believe
that though. Nevertheless, I specifically sent in my (succesful) 1st
claim to the old address as I was told - not leaving anything to chance!

The same way you'd have defended yourself against them claiming you'd
sent in the wrong paperwork (which they apparently shred upon receipt
regardless, for data protection??!! reasons)... you wave the photograph
of the envelope and its contents all laid out on the ground before you
posted it (you *did* take a photo didn't you... ;-) )
