Printer
I apologise as this is not BB specific.
Ive just rejigged the BB in the house, everything is now Wifi.
ButIve got a problem in that I have a Large Printer/scanner that is
upstairs and was in my mini office (the office is now downstairs)
Is there a way of connecting it other than cabling?
Scuse my ignorance

You need a wifi print server

Or a variety of mains networking - Devolo Homeplug or equivalent

Go for a home plug , quite a bit faster and don't interfere with video
senders

Re: Printer
Not sure about this ... Doesn't a printer/scanner require
bi-directional access (after all it has to read from the scanner)? My
experience of wireless router/print servers, admitting it was three or
four years ago, is that they don't support bi-directional
functionality.

The Belkin print server that I bought recently for a customer claims to
support scanners as well as printers - or at least it supports the scanner
as well as the printer of a printer-scanner combined unit. That's according
to the instructions. I've only tried it with a printer.

I'm afraid I can't tell you the model number as I don't have the server any
more. However it's the bog-standard one that PC World sell for about £40.

Tat depends on te protocol lPR/LPD is pretty crap at taking back, as is
SMB but most print servers use teh HP JetDiect protocol which essentall
'looks' liek a paralel port on teh network, so to speak. A os fully
capable of bidrectional stuff.

Should be possible to pick up the wireless equivalent of a jet direct
server someow.

Edimax PS-1206MFG supports multi function printers via wifi, been using
one for about 2 years with different printers.
