Format of ISDN MSN/DDI numbers
Morning,
I am about to setup a very small phone system comprising a Siemens SX353
ISDN phone + 4 paired DECT handsets connected to a single ISDN2e line.
The phone supports DDI/MSN call routing but there's no information about
the format to use for setting this up, so can anyone enlighten me - for
example, are MSNs entered as 4412345678990 or 12345678990 or just 5678990?
I guess trial and error will prevail if needed!?
Thanks

Start with just the last 6 digits...

DDI's are typically just the last six digits (certainly on director
exchanges, despite their having seven), and very annoyingly BT don't tell
you this at all. So 678990.
For MSN's usually either the whole number arrives or the phone only switches
on the last digit anyway, so try 012345678990.
In BT Highway (if you can still get it) the two analogue numbers were really
MSN's stripped out by the NTE, although at the exchange end they were mapped
as real numbers.

To save you some error, by default it's the last six digits, but this can
be varied at the time of order.
