Business landline rate price increase
Just recieved this morning from BT
05 June 2008 00:29
For the first time in over 5 years our landline rates are changing.
If you've been tracking the Retail Price Index in the UK, you know it's
risen by over 17%
in the last five years. During that time (with the exception of a few older
ISDN products
that are being retired), we've held down the cost of our business line
rental.
As of 1st November 2007, our business line rental rates are increasing by
4.8%,
which is in line with the Retail Price Index at the time of our pricing
review.
However, when you take into account the rise in the Retail Price Index over
the
last 5 years, even after this increase, in real terms the cost of your
standard
business line rental has fallen significantly since 2002.
The increased rental charge will be reflected on your bill from the
beginning of November 2007.
Does this mean they are back dating to Nov 2007 or has this email took
along time getting to us? :)

The price change was implemented in November, so there is no
backdating. This sounds like a delayed communication.
