Presentation Number on Residential Line
Hello,
Is it possible to have a presentation number on a residential line?
My main incoming number(s) are with a VoIP provider, for various
reasons. However, I would occasionally like to be able to call from my
PSTN line, but still have my main number presented.
BT's site indicates that it's only available on business lines, but I
was wondering if there was a loophole..
Thanks,
John

It is technically possible to have Presentation Number on a
residential line, although it has not been offered in the past.
Openreach have included this feature in their WLR3 development, so if
you take your service from a provider that uses WLR3 then there is no
technical reason why you coldn't have presentation number. At present
not all BT Retail lines are on the WLR3 system.
