Funnel Cloud
Spotted a rather fine funnel cloud yesterday, whilst on a 200k Audax
(long distance bike ride).

Sadly, no photo as my phone was in my saddlebag, and I was more inclined
to sort out the "Lung swallowing" situation having climbed up Hackpen
Hill here:

http://streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=434250&y=184880&z=4&sv=434250,184880&st=4&ar=Y&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf

Anyway, said FC was underneath the base of a rather large, but
ultimately capped, convective cluster of clouds, due Left of my position
as I was riding along the B4001. It extended probably about 500' below
the main cloudbase, was very straight and narrow, and pointed at the
tip. There was no doubt what it was.

That's a first for me :)
