Amazing what you can get on webcam!
Here is a picture of one of our house martins exiting the nest in full
flight.

He he I have a colony of three house martin nests in the eaves just above
that window. I have another colony on the north side of the house too. Plus
a jackdaw nest in the chimney (unused), plus a woodpecker in the garden so
no need for cardboard!
