No sunshine in Leeds
It may have been warm, but over the last 6 days in the west of
leeds -Farsley we have had 1.5 hours of sunshine. A cloudy spell in August
with 3 days with no sunshine at all must be unprecidented. I'm waithing for
the cooler fresher weather so that we get a chance of seeing some sunshine!

August's total sunshine amounts to a mere 89 hours which is 48% of
normal -abysmal- this is 29 hours down on February this year!

Yes it has been dismal. And it seems you've had it worse than here with my
sunshine figure boosted a little bit by recent sunny(ish) days.

I didn't manage to beat my February 20087 sunshine figure of 135 hours
either, with the sun shining at the moment it looks like I might just scrape
120 hours for this August.

I, and many people around here have a perception that this August has been
the dullest and most miserable August they have ever known.
