... if anyone sees this post now (1645Z/1745BST), there is a very 
strong mock sun visible - best one I've seen for many a year.

... unfortunately, it didn't last long - which is often the way with 
such features; in the short few minutes it took to send that, and grab 
a camera, the effect had completely disappeared! The colours were 
stunning & very strong.

Some fantastic Cirrus intortus (twisted filaments) and floccus 
currently (1735Z); I love the description of the former in the various 
handbooks .... " filaments .... entangled in a capricious manner. "
