Predominantly sunny this afternoon. No rain here today
but just 3 miles down the road in Rownhams, 5mm fell
in a short space of time around 1200Z.

... Similar variability here a little further west: coming back from
Poole to West Moors [around midday CT], could see some well-developed
Cu con/Cb, with the latter developing then shedding dramatic anvils -
the activity seemed to be just a little further inland than the
Wimborne - Ferndown - Ringwood line, and the radar confirmed that the
activity was suppressed after late morning hereabouts. We had a short
shower late morning - but 'trace' only in gauge, yet I would guess
that not too far to the north some heavy downpours occurred. A
cracking afternoon with strong sunshine and light wind.
