Good - meanwhile, I used to look at the jetstream forecasts there. I
know I've seen them somewhere else but can't remember for the life of me
where. Can anyone help?

No sign of Metcheck returning yet. Looks like the address has been
hijacked.

The following message from Metcheck appears on their home page which is
currently available at http://92.48.114.106/V40/UK/HOME/ :
"Welcome to Metcheck
Added : Thu 10 July : 09:06 BST
Yep, this is it.. the new Metcheck box.
Whaddya think?
The new set up is 2 huge beasts of servers pumping out your favourite
weather information. Not just that, but a separate database server to handle
everything else.
We're still waiting for the name to change servers, so at the moment you've
got a delightful IP address to use, however won't be long till the rest of
the world will catch up.
Now stop reading this and go get your weather forecast for today."
