Nice day in Reading!
Crumbs Will, dont you sometimes wish that you were back in Crowthorne?

Over the past 24 hours or so, you have clocked up what for us here would be
a months rainfall.
Sunny here until late afternoon, with a Max of 20.5. Just had a shower, but
that only gave 0.1mm.
A miserable 3.8mm so far this month. Garden still needs some rain - maybe
tomorrow?

Hi Eric, it is certainly very different to Crowthorne up here. In Crowthorne
I got used to 25C heat most summers, even 30C was not unusual. Brown parched
grass and watering every day. None of that now, 25C is considered hot up
here and 30C has not occurred at all in the past 6 years. TBH I miss the
superb thunderstorms we got in Crowthorne and it was nice to sit outside on
a still evening having a BBQ, but living here has many compensations. No
more traffic or aircraft noise, no more traffic jams and the complete
freedom to walk where I want and not have to worry about trespassing on
someone else's woodland. But it all comes at a price, and that price is some
pretty wild weather at times!

Cheers,

Will
