On a very tangential note (related only by name), Quirks and quarks is the
name of the weekly science radio programme for CBC Radio in Canada. It's
top-quality radio along the lines of Material world, getting scientists to
explain their work in their own words. They do a very good line in free
downloadables, with an audio archive going back years, and a podcast as
well. If you're looking for some good listening potential this weekend,
try
having a look at their website. (http://www.cbc.ca/quirks/index.html)
