NHS Pension, rock and a hard place!
I have returned to the NHS after several years out due to illness, I
was awarded an NHS pension and found that returning part time I would
not effect my pension. I also found that there was an over 50 rule that
did not allow me to rejoin the scheme and rebuild my pension. I have
been regraded and find now that a rule called abatement is about to
kick in and I will loose part or all of my monthly pension, yet if I
had returned to private nursing my pension would not have been effected
whatever I earned.

A friend at work was telling me that there was a proposal to end the
abatement rule, has anyone heard the same? and if so when is it likely
to happen?
