Webcam - what capture software?
As per the title I guess ;) Can someone please recommend some software
to capture images or avi files?

I use qcfocus http://www.astrosurf.com/astropc/qcam/programme.html (page is
in French and in English) with an old Toucam pro.
Very easy software, you can do focus with it and take pictures or avi files.
You can tune gamma, luminosity, white balance, exposure time and so on ...
The soft does not allow for image processing, you will have to use other
softs for that.

You can try wxAstroCapture for example. Free, select your OS.

Try Flycap .... http://www.asvzzz.com/flycap.htm ... I've tried every
program out there to capture video (avi) of the planets and the sun
and by far this obscure freeware capture utility was the best.
