Golden old un.
Quite a good graphic about the earth, sun and moon. Can't find the
homepage though.

Pity there is no recognition of how the orbital motion of a planet
actually behaves as it orbits the central Sun.

http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/archive/releases/1999/11/video/b/

The motion of the Equatorial rings to the central Sun,seperate to
axial rotation and rotational orientation (tilt) constitutes a
wonderful affirmation of Keper's take on orbital geometry and
motion, the explanation why the natural noon cycles are unequal when
allied with axial rotation and most importantly, the global and
astronomical reasons for variations in daylight and darkness
throughout the year.

Part of that applet is pure junk however it is possible to make an
attempt to construct a proper view of the Earth's motions in relation
to the Sun.

Should anyone doubt the behavior of a planet as it orbits the central
star, need only look at the animation and the behavior of Uranus -

Oh,the joys of modern imaging and powerful time lapse footage which
changes things by asking a simple question - does a location orbitally
keep the same face to the Sun or change it through 360 degrees over an
annual orbit ?.

Can't say I admire the U.K. resolve to ignore what observations
dictate, too much importance for climatological concerns to care about
dreary minds who believe in variable axial inclination when actual
observations show otherwise. As for your applets, well it is typical
for astrologers but can be molded into a good heliocentric terms if
heliocentric astronomers, apart from myself, ever show up here.
