Did Anyone See...
23.15 - Rural SE Wales - I was walking with my dog when we were lit by
the lights of an oncoming car, or so I thought. But it wasn't. I
looked up to see the trail of the brightest meteorite I have ever seen
in my 61 years.

It appeared to come from the region of Cassiopeia and disappear in Leo.

Amazing!

Bugger, I went out for a quick go with my new ETX-90 and came in just
before then. Wonder if I'd have seen it up here in the North East...

Direction's wrong - Iridium 64 goes from Leo-ish to Perseus.
The meteor's direction looks about right for an Aquarid.

Weren't we supposed to get a reasonable display of Aquarids this year?

Re: Did Anyone See...
Hi,

Yes, I saw this. It travelled North East to South-South West from my
location near Llangollen, at approx. 23.15 BST. It was very bright and
had a brief afterglow. Estimated mag. About -3 to -4.
