MZ SGE - a missing variable star? In the article on the "Identification of the Rosino-Guzzi Variables in Sagitta" by Brian Skiff he states " MX Sge must be considered lost for now." This animation (120s in IR and V band) was taken on 2007-10-14 with a field of view cut down to 20 x 20 arc minutes. The M6 Mira type variable star MV SGE is clearly visible but the only candidate for the M4 type Mira MZ SGE is much fainter than I would have expected. The field clearly needs further study. Note how the field looks very different in IR and in V band light and also the globular cluster Palomar 10. http://www.martin-nicholson.info/mzsge/mzsge.htm Martin Nicholson, Daventry, England. http://www.martin-nicholson.info/1/1a.htm Visit the Astronomical Hall of Shame at http://www.geocities.com/queen5658/

A lot of movers in there... changing from "1" pixel, to "so far you cannot guess where it ended up". David A. Smith
