Maeshowe sunset 2007 winter solstice
The neolithic Maeshowe tomb on the Mainland island of Orkney is a wonder of
the ancient world, and all the neolithic sites in the islands are well worth
visiting (e.g., Skara Brae, Ring of Brodgar). They had clear sky at sunset
14:59 on 20 December 2007 and there is a 7-minute video on their web site.

Well worth having a look. Most of the time they have cloudy weather but
near the solstice the setting sun's light shines directly through the
entrance and illluminates the interior.

Link is at http://www.maeshowe.co.uk/ which takes you to You Tube.

Magical.
