National Rail disruptions geographical confusion
We had a number of threads in the past about passengers at Stansted Airport
being confused between trains to London Liverpool Street and those that used
to run through to Liverpool Lime Street.

But the Disruptions page seems to think that a bridge bash at Romford will
delay trains into Liverpool.

"Delays between Shenfield and Liverpool Lime Street expected until 11:30
Last updated 26/09/2008 10:25
TOC Affected National Express East Anglia
Description
Because a bridge has been struck by a road vehicle in the Romford area,
journeys may be delayed."

Sadly ( :-) ) someone has spotted this error and it has been
corrected!
Still can't get them tu change the TOC maps though - I've been telling
them for some time that Virgin don't run to Penzance any more and
CrossCountry don't run between Crewe and Scotland - but each time I
tell them that the maps are wrong they send me an email telling me
that enquiries about which routes TOCs serve should be directed to the
TOCs themselves!! UH?

I think we've seen similar things before where someone has typed the wrong
thing into the database. I think there's been a Stansted/Stonehaven switch
before, which suggests operators are typing in a three letter code and then
expanding it to the wrong thing.

LIV is Lime St. LST is Liverpool St. I wonder if they typed 'LIV' and
picked the wrong expansion from the list.

Yup. They probably didn't notice the fruit concealed in the name.
