MKC: an update
Just been past MK Central, and Platform 6 is now open and being served
by all northbound departures as temporary platform 5. Platform 5 is
completely barriered off for its full length. I have no idea what
work is being done - it may just be to avoid confusion until the PIS
is updated.

On the other side of the station, the extension is only of Platform 1
at present. This still has no track at the north end.

This is consistent with the piece in July's MR, which said that the new Down
Fast would open at the end of June, but that the arrangements on the east
side would not finish until the August Bank Holiday (blockade?).
