The last LT RFs were from Kingston Garage, a week after the last RTs.
I was there, having had a love affair with them from when I first came
across them (in 1953 when I was 4, so a bit after Peter Masson) on Green
Line 704, through years of Green , Red and Golden Rovers whilst I was
growing up, through to driving them at the end of their life.

Many people of my age who were London bus enthusiasts probably have
strongest affections for the RT or RM; for me it will be the
archetypical Country RF, whether it be on the busy trunk route 425 from
Dorking to Guildford, carrying a load of fresh air on the 413a from
Sevenoaks to Four Elms or bustling round Orpington on my local route
493.

The RF was a jack-of-all trades single deck, and master of all.
