Wanted: Old Electronics Magazines
I am looking for copies of two particular issues of electronic
magazines, specifically:

1. Electronic & Radio Engineer, Sept. 1958

2. Wireless World, Nov. 1962

If anyone has these and is prepared to sell them to me or copy me an
article from each one I would be very grateful.

Cheers

It is just possible that I have (somewhere) the WW. However, it will be
hidden deep in the loft or the garden shed. I intended to do a bit of
rummaging in the not-too-distant future, so I may do it a bit earlier.
However, the chances of definitely finding it are pretty slim (even if I
do have it). If I find it, I'll certainly copy what you want but, in the
meantime, don't hold your breath.

What was the WW article you were particularly interested in? It may jog
my memory as to whether I'm likely to have it.

I don't know the exact article, I was just referred to one page.
However, I have now obtained the loan of a copy through my local library
and I now know the article is call 'Bootstrap D.C Amplifier'. It is
supposed to be an early reference to the mu follower, much loved in
valve audio circles. It is, in an oblique was, but more importantly it
refers to a previous article in the Jan and Feb issues of the 1961 WW
which seems more relevant, and is entitled 'The Bootstrap Follower' by a
Mr. Short. If you could find this article instead I would be very
grateful. No rush; I have been following this up for over 6 months so a
few more weeks won't matter.

Cheers

Noted. I made a point of getting the WW in the early 60s, so there's a
fair chance I do have those months. A couple of years ago, I did a bit
of 'volume reduction - finding all my WWs, removing the adverts etc, and
just keeping the 'guts' - but I occasionally find 'yet another'. I think
I know where a lot are. I'll have a rummage.
