Newsgroups
Just been looking at a few of the forums I used quite frequently a few years
ago. Most of them are all but dead.

rec.radio.cb was extremely busy, now hardly any activity at all...

uk.rec.radio.cb may as well not be there...

About six or seven others, never see a posting from one month to another

Maybe, people just don't have the time anymore or they are disillusioned
with the crap posted by the likes of..."class_z ", "Brain Deadlar", and last
but least,"12 years to pass the simple 12 WPM Morse test", (AKA The 3
Stooges) which hardly makes Usenet a hot bed of learning these days :-(

Yep your right.

Even kill filing the pond life doesn't replace the fact that postings of any
value aren't filling the gaps.

Most on here now have nothing to say, they just vent their inadequacies by
having a go at others to justify their sad little existences.

It's not just the cb-er types either, it the so called *old school* that
like to think they are the be all and end all of amateur radio and if others
dare not follow what they do then their narrow little minds don't consider
it amateur radio.

The second sentence quoted above would seem to be self-referential
for the whole of what is quoted above.

Would it be fair to assume that the poster quoted above holds, or
once held, a licence issued under the gangrenous degeneration that
is the M3/CB Fools' Licence scheme, for the attitudes are very much
those of the chief L.I.A.R. of the scheme?

Well, maybe as a trumped up CBer you should go back to the newsgroups
that better suit your interests instead of bringing you CB polluting
ways to uk.radio.amateur.
