Mrs.Nugatory - I've got the measure of you
Mrs.Nugatory, your behaviour over recent days has
told me more about you than I suspect that you
wished to reveal.
No matter what I say, do, or discuss in this NG, you
will seize on it, pick fault, and subject me to rather
silly and infantile abuse.
If I challenge you on anything, you'll run away
and change tack onto something else to carp about.
You are clearly a seriously deranged loony who
is stalking me with an obsessive vendetta.
You need to seek medical help with some urgency.
I refuse to cross swords with you again, and I have no
doubt that your future postings will add weight to
my analysis of you above.
You are one sick, sick kiddie.

It's merely a case of spotting the flaws [1] in his arguments, and
bringing them out.
[1] These include but are not limited to, sidestepping, goal-post
moving, and ground-shifting: (avoiding the question by answering one
that wasn't posed, or introducing related but irrelevant information);
bullshit and bluster: (not knowing the subject but sounding off
anyway), 'asserting the right of reply' usually to something else
entirely; personal abuse; personal attacks not relevant to the subject
under discussion; a total lack of any logic connecting his points,
such as they are; clouding the issue by being unclear. It's a fairly
long list.
His recent exchanges with Jeff regarding the Terrorism Act(s) (he only
knew of one but didn't say which it was - note the tactic here)
revealed a whole set of manoeuvrings designed to get out of being
caught out with his sloppy, ill-thought-through postings.
He still does this sort of thing even when the record is against him -
the selling of the FT-101E ('vital tune-up pages missing from manual')
has been excused on a numerous occasions with 'facts' that weren't
mentioned at the time - or even years later, come to that.
It's a highly moveable feast.....

It's a standard tactic of the intellectually-bereft to accuse others
of acts they do themselves.
"To know and not to know, to be conscious of complete truthfulness
while telling carefully constructed lies, to hold simultaneously two
opinions which cancelled out, knowing them to be contradictory and
believing in both of them, to use logic against logic, to repudiate
morality while laying claim to it, to believe that democracy was
impossible and that the Party was the guardian of democracy, to forget
whatever it was necessary to forget, then to draw it back into memory
again at the moment when it was needed, and then promptly to forget it
again: and above all, to apply the same process to the process itself.
That was the ultimate subtlety: consciously to induce unconsciousness,
and then, once again, to become unconscious of the act of hypnosis you
had just performed. Even to understand the word 'doublethink' involved
the use of doublethink.'
Hmmm.....

Do you think in 500 years time this prose will be held in the same
regard as Shakespeare's or Churchill's is today?.......No I thought
not!
