If I can help?
Standard:
An object that is regarded as the usual or most common size or form of its
kind.
Transceiver:
A transmitter and receiver combined in one unit.
Any make/model quoted would only be for the era being discussed as
"standards" change.

So was Mrs.Nugatory correct by asserting that standard transceivers
have a trivially-easy-to-tune valve PA? (Difficult to imagine
such a thing in a HH)

I thought Standard only made solid state VHF/UHF transceivers, so I
doubt they made any valve PAs, which would make them incredibly
difficult to tune :)

Walt, what do you think that Mrs.Nugatory hopes to
gain by her incessant abusive remarks addressed to those
who are her betters in this NG?
What does she achieve by repeating the same insults?
(What do I achieve by asserting the right of reply? :-( )
