What's up with M3OSN tonight?
Absent from this NG for a day or so and reappears shooting
from the hip with ill-thought-out infantile remarks.

What has triggered such a childish outburst _THIS TIME_?

Perhaps it is his habituation of lashing out whenever a critique
hits home, which in this case might well be the realisation that
he, his wife, and 3-person spawnery are all parasites on the
public purse?

Perhaps it was the very amusing reference to "Rugland"?

Perhaps just green-eyed envy that he was either too lazy or
too stupid, or both, to be able to tackle and then pass (in the
25+ years that it was available to him) a 12 WPM Morse test
that otherwise-unqualified self-taught 14-year-olds were taking
in their stride?

Perhaps it is the well-deserved public opprobrium of casting
himself as the examiner for Morse Tests after his very public
25+ period of failing to tackle the 12 WPM test?

Who knows? Perhaps it is simply no more than his
everyday nastiness that results from him being a
habitual little sh*t?

Beanie, I've said before there is more to life than Morse code. If you get a
life you'll find this out for yourself.

Gareth
you need to get a life me old mate.
Yes I am an M3 and would leave you standing when it comes to CW.
12 WPM was when I was 17 and only halfway through my course.
I am now 42 and just a lot faster than that.

Keep looking in your rear view mirror for that orange low loader.......
I may just have to show you how a professional operator does it

Dons hard hat and stands proud to be an M3

The infantile outburst quoted above raises a number of points ...

1. How can a grown man of 42 years be proud to hold, and have
held for a number of years now, a licence intended for 6-year-olds?
The RSCB makes much of these 6-year-olds and how they are
progressing to full licences. What's holding M3GDW back in
the kindergarten class?

2. Radio Hammery is a technical pursuit, a fact lost upon the CBer
quoted above, a pursuit in which operating comes in a very poor second
against technical competence.

3. In the gentlemanly pursuit that is Radio Hammery, it is impolite to
send CW faster than your correspondent can receive it; perhaps
the considerations of gentlemanly behaviour are lost on the vermin
who form the licentiate of the M3?CB Fools' Licence scheme, thereby
showing that such licensees are not Radio hams by any stretch of the
imagination?

4. To send any communication faster than your correspondent can receive
it makes your communication indistinguishable from the gibbering of
chimpanzees.
If you come across like a chimpanzee, what are we likely to deduce about
you?

5. It is a sad and telling reflection upon the low-life that is being
dragged from
the gutter to form the M3/CBer licentiate that they very quickly resort to
threats of violence against those with whom they do not agree. Such a
violent
stance says more than anything else that the M3 licensee is a CBer and
not under any stretch of the imagination a Radio Ham.

Perhaps indicative of the thick squaddie or the riff-RAF Erk who allow
themselves to be be sent on illegal invasions as cannon fodder to
satisfy someone else's political ambitions?

Those who set out on excursions to Iran and Afghanistan fully prepared
to shoot and kill their fellow man only receive their just deserts when they
themselves get killed.

Why we waste time on Inquests in this country into the deaths of these
professional murderers is beyond me. Let the inquests be held in the
countries where they died and let their bodies rot where they fell.

You do not know what people are doing in their personal lives.
Many people have many reasons for not being able to progress straight away,
I'll admit that many "can't be bothered" but there are people who find the
study time difficult.

Personally I passed my FL in 2002 aged 37 and I was proud to be on the first
rung of the ladder of achievement. Due to working hours etc. I was unable to
progress until I had to stop working due to disability in 2004. This then
gave me the time to progress through IL (2005, age 40 and proud again to be
a step up) to the Amateur Full Radio Licence (that's what it says on my
document) in 2006 aged, well the math should be easy enough, even for you!
and yes I was proud again. I managed the IL and Full purely because I now
had the time to be able to study.

I am currently trying to fit in learning Morse code (which I will be proud
of when I can send aned receive at 12 WPM) along with experimenting with
D-STAR and writing / publishing the club website (which is updated and added
to weekly) while looking after myself (physically disabled), my partner
(mental health issues) and 2 children, at least there is no job to get in
the way!

Radio Hammery? A somewhat infantile term, I prefer Amateur Radio, sounds
more adult.

See Section 2 of your Licence document, (Terms, conditions and limitations)
1. Purpose

1(1) The Licensee shall ensure that the Radio Equipment is only used:

(a) for the purpose of self training in radio communications, including
conducting technical investigations; and
(b) as a leisure activity and not for commercial purposes of any kind.

So INCLUDING technical, not SOLELY as your statement seems to imply, also a
LEISURE activity.

Now some people (me included) are technically minded and technical pursuits
may be considered as a leisure activity, but this is not the case for
everybody.

That infantile term again, a reflection on the writers state of mind perhaps
or just a "pet name"? Let's give the benefit of doubt and say pet name.

I will not comment on CW itself as I am not conversant enough in CW to make
any comments on this subject. I will agree that sending anything, including
speaking, faster than your correspondent can understand could be construed
as rude.

I refer to my previous answer, although rude is quite strong enough for me.

It would seem from your various posts that you agree only with yourself and
deride anybody that disagrees with you.

Verbal abuse, even disguised, is a form of violence. Think about that before
you deride people that you disagree with as you are resorting to the
violence that you dislike so much.

I have been happy to use CB radio, indeed I still do at times, but this does
not make me a bad "Radio Ham" as you call it.

Never forget that the dimwit you're in discussion with came up by the
easiest route to an HF licence that existed at the time.

That route included a seven-year period of inactivity due to personal
reasons.

If you really are 43 years old then it is high time that you
contributed to this NG in a more maturer fashion than your

So, you have been too busy to get a licence in the 50 years you've had
an interest? Or just too lazy?

I can't possibly do it as well as you do.

Awww, did you not like that question? Did it hit a little too close to
home? So let's ask it again "So, you have been too busy to get a
licence in the 50 years you've had an interest? Or just too lazy?"

And to answer your questions, no and no, which shows just how
ill-informed you are AGAIN.

If those that campaign for 'decency' and 'technical standards' can't
meet either requirement - amply illustrated on this ng - then those
that support them are necessarily fairly thick; dimwits, IOW. You fill
the bill nicely.

And those that couldn't even pass an amateur exam after claiming 50
years of interest, or even a FL exam in the five or so years it has been
available fit into which category? "fairly thick" and "dimwits" is a
fair description. And you fit those descriptions perfectly.

Please feel free to put up your posting where you sort out a <group of
teenagers, or indeed any other group you wish to mention, from
toddlers to geriatrics> all by yourself <after you had been assaulted
by them>; so you could repost that a hundred times too.

Remind us again which branch of the Pay Corps you served in.

[note for the terminally stupid: the main danger to those serving in
the Pay Corps arose from the chance of accidentally stabbing one's
finger with a paper clip, or shutting one's finger in a filing-cabinet
drawer].

So now you resort to infantile insults.

Your bluff has been called and you have been shown up.

Resorting to childish insults as you do above simply will not
act as a smokescreen to mask that you have not even
qualified at the level of a 6-year-old despite claiming an
interest going back 50 years.

Your regular abusing those of us who are your betters in

You're doing it again; making rude comments about others' military
jobs and yet you have in the past gone very quiet when challenged
about your own.

I guess that being in a reserved occupation as cleaner of the MOD

What an exceedingly childish response.
Is that kind of childish attitude the reason why your local kids
targeted you?
Incidentally, once you guess which arm of the services I actually served
in, then you might get closer to guessing what I did. BIG HINT...it
involved sailing on water.
You seem to know a lot about the Pay Corps...were you an ineffectual
pen-pusher in your chosen career? Pity you didn't have the guts to have
a military career.

But Nedlar, Class_A and myself are fighting to restore standards
in Radio Hammery and much of our posting is in defensive
response to the _REAL_ noise level of this NG. (Otherwise,
the posting of we three is entirely apposite to this NG in
particular and to Radio Hammery in general.)

The sources of noise are repeatedly ...

1. Anyone who is a representative of any sort of the RSCB.

2. FrankTheW*nk, G3VKI

3. The Incurable CBer, Nathan Hull G7KUJ

4. Anyone who holds, or who has ever held, a licence issued under
the gangrenous degeneration that is the M3/CB Fools' Licence scheme.

5. A couple of under-achieving ne'er-do-wells who have not even reached
the qualification level intended for 6-year-olds despite both boasting of
an interest going back decades, namely Mrs.Nugatory and The Numpty Trucker.

Talking of "dimwit" or "fairly thick"...

In the recent Interceptor Antenna thread, you demonstrated scant knowledge
