Death of George Carlin
This weeks NSS Newline reports the death of George Carlin.
He was a fierce satirist of religion, and even invented his own
religion Frisbeetarianism. The central tenet was that when you died,
your soul was flung on to the roof where it stayed for ever.
Here's what he thought of religion:

There is also a link to the video of his de-construction of the 10
commandments.
Funny, rude and thought provoking at the same time.
regards, Ian

Ever notice that fundies have zero sense of humor?
They're the one's who need to think about a joke, ask ya to explain it
to them and still not get it

Umberto Eco wrote an entire book (Name of the Rose) about the conflict
between those who believed that Jesus laughed and those who did not.

REPLY: He wasted his life using God in jokes to better his own
financial gain . He is undoubtedly very regretful right now as we
speak of him . He kept on rejecting the Creator even when God tried
tirelessly to get his attention ; but he wanted no part of it.

That's f**kin hilarious, cummin from someone who's currently wasting
his real life away with religious delusions.
BTY...Here AGAIN are some questions that you recently accidently
ignored even after you said:
REPLY: I know of no other Theist/Christian who answers questions
from the Critics as much as i do in NG's
While you are at it perhaps you could also answer the following
additional questions so that we may better understand where you are
coming from}
What is the highest level of education you reached?
Do you have a professional qualification and if so what?
To what level did you study physics and biology?
What qualifies you to lecture us on your religion?
Why is the account of the creation in Genesis so confused and
scientifically illiterate?
What evidence do you have for your alleged theistic creator other
than
your customary arguments from ignorance and incredulity?
Why was your alleged intelligent designer so bad at designing?

Oh really?
You, of course, don't mean questions like those below, that I've
asked
over a DOZEN times, the answers to which would provide insight into
your mental state, not only to others but even to yourself?
Do you see the world only in black and white, good and evil, right
and wrong?
Do you noticed a detachment from your job, friends or relatives or a
breakdown in your personal relationships?
Do you think you've ever gotten special messages from your god or
that your god can fix all your problems?
What about your uncompromising judgmental attitudes or shame-based
belief that you aren't good enough as you exist today?
How about your overt attitude of righteousness or superiority?
Do you find yourself in daily conflict with science, medicine, and
education, but spend excessive amounts of your time obsessive
praying, going to church, crusades, and quoting scripture?
But to you, all of this is perfectly normal, isn't it?

Dave, how can he reject something that doesn't exist?

The fucking moron knows this, and imagines he makes some
kind of point by presuming it is as "real" for us as it is for him
and then rationalising amateur-psychologised positions he
knows we don't have as though it really were.
Showing the effect religion has on a mind.

OK, Dave so let's work out what you claiming here...
This god fellow (the one that no-one has ever been able to provide
any evidence for) has brought George Carlin back to life as a sort
of living-dead zombie, even though his body will still be intact.
He has been taken to a magic never-never land in the sky, tried in a
magic court that can see every action he has ever performed and read
every thought that went through his head.
He has been sentenced to be shipped off to another magic never-never
land run by a another magic bloke called the devil, who was created
by this god chap but then went a bit off course but god can't do
anything about it now even though he is the all-powerful creator of
everything. So, the devil has a sort of franchise for 'bad' - a bit
like KFC, but presumably not that bad.
So, the zombiefied George Carlin is down there now having hot pokers
pushed up his bottom for eternity.
Do you really want to be taken seriously?

Re: Death of George Carlin
It's even more weird. A human tortured for just a few weeks might end up
hopelessly insane, if tortured for a year there would be nothing human left.
So, that loving, forgiving god must not only sentence the man to an infinite
amount of cruel and unusual punishment, that same god must also arrange for
the humans mind to be protected from the insanity that is sure to arrive.
So, the christian god is not only cruel and unforgiving, s/he is also
vindictive and sadistic.
Just be glad that invisible space alien gods do not exist.
