Another fine example of religious stupidy
Parents prayed as daughter died of untreated diabetes
From Associated Press
April 28, 2008
WESTON, Wis. - A Wisconsin prosecutor says she plans to file charges
against parents who prayed while their 11-year-old daughter died of
untreated diabetes.
Marathon County District Attorney Jill Falstad says Dale and Leilani
Neumann are being charged with reckless homicide in the Easter Sunday
death of their daughter Madeline.
Falstad said at a news conference Monday that the parents' failure to
get medical care for their daughter created an unreasonable risk of
death or great harm.
Leilani Neumann has said the family believes that healing comes from
God

Yep, sounds about right.
An adult can choose to be that stupid and injure themselves, but a child
is dependant on the parents to make reasonable choices to protect them.
Praying for "god" to cure her diabetes was not a reasonable choice. If
she made it to 18 and chose to stop treatments that's another thing, but
I guess she will never get to make that choice, informed or otherwise.

I was about to post some smart-arse comment, but I guess that we
should have some sympathy for a family that could be so deluded as
to believe that they didn't need medical help. This must be the best
evidence yet that such believe is tantamount to mental illness.

Sympathy for the family?
They get to live.
Too bad it is just human nature to believe that your parents will do the
right things to keep you safe and healthy. Let daddy pray that he won't
get AIDS while getting raped in Federal Ass Slammin' Prison.

REPLY: This is the problem behind following religiousity , instead of
a vital real personal relationship with God thru making his written
inspired words to mankind, thier compass. What is your compass in
life Sandi ?

For your consideration:
Many, if not most of Dimwit Dave's replies, have
nothing to do with the original subject
He almost never answers a direct question, but instead goes
off on some tangent or leading question about Dog, sex, or religion
completely unrelated to the original subject with the intent to gain
control of the thread and push HIS point of view?
Why is this?
BERCAUSE HE NEVER READS THEM
Why should he?
He already knows no one ever agrees with any of his comments
It's much better, in his mind, to just push his views rather than to
waste valuable trolling time reading other people's replies to his
endless stream of
religious fundy bullshit
