The search is still on for two men who police say wore hard hats when
they robbed a bank this week in Centre County.

There's reason investigators believe they might be in the Williamsport
area because of what authorities discovered after the robbery.

When they robbed the bank near Millheim, Centre County, troopers said
the robbers stole something from some of the bank tellers, evidence
that ties Williamsport to the crime.

The robbers were caught on a surveillance camera in the bank. Both men
wore bright yellow hard hats and reflective vests. They look like
construction workers. A closer glance reveals both were armed with
pepper spray.

Investigators said the two men walked into the Mifflinburg Bank and
Trust near Millheim in Centre County on Tuesday.

After ordering everyone to the ground, the robbers bound their hands,
gGrabbing cash and the purses of some bank tellers.

They left in a silver Ford, F-150 pick-up truck.

>From there investigators believe the robbers drove to Lycoming County.

It's a forty five mile drive from Millheim to Williamsport.

Investigators know they were there because they found the stolen
purses inside a dumpster along Federal Avenue.

"Strange. Kind of scary actually too," said Kelsey Snook of
Williamsport who added she's worried by the fact the robbers could be
in her neighborhood.

She was at home with her one year old on Tuesday when police knocked
on her door asking if she'd seen anyone suspicious.

"I either think they live back here or they just thought, this is a
good spot, here's a dumpster. But you'd have to know there was a
dumpster there to put it there, wouldn't just think, oh yeah. Let's
check back here for a dumpster, you know?," Snook said.

The robbery has police on high alert. The same day of the hold-up,
Newswatch 16 was on Dewey Avenue when police pulled over a silver
truck. Police said the driver even had construction gear inside the
cab but he didn't match the description of the robbers involved.

Investigators are continuing to keep an eye out for the men.
