Valium a good drug
I don't care what the buggers say Valium or Diazepam is a good drug. I
had hit the drink hard a few years ago now and damn glad I was to have
some when I came off it. A most pleasant feeling but the only problem
one could get to enjoy taking them.
Easy enough to buy on the street as well.

Pharmaceutical grade Morphine is much better, it's estimated up to 5%
of NHS Doctors and Nurses are users.

Yup - I've been on valium some time ago, after a particularly painfull
operation. Ditto Morphine - lovely stuff.
These days for booze withdrawal you get librium, and LARGE vitamin
injections into the buttocks. Hurt like fuck. Problem is you can't take
librium until your alcohol level is low enough, so you have to go through
the DTs for a long time (18 hours IIRC, which thankfully I can't, because
the DTs are NOT NICE). Then it was an anti-vomiting injection, then half an
hour later a lot of librium. It sorted me out in a couple of hours, apart
from the hallucinations (visual and auditory). And I'll be doing it again
soon. What fun. Just hope that it sticks this time.

Damn goblins pointing at me freaked me out. As I recovered the
pointing started to stop. A good deterrent in itself.

It is really weird when you know that you are seeing things - the TV was
off, but I could see very high speed cartoons. It was hearing things that
was bizarre - loud moaning, and the sound of wood on wood. It changes one's
perspective on the world. Perception is filtered in the brain. In the DTs
things are added. But what if things are removed... Things that don't fit.
Timothy Leary's idea of a Reality Tunnel suddenly seems to make more
sense...

This bit -
"It is believed that through various techniques one can break down old
reality tunnels and impose new reality tunnels by removing old filters and
replacing them with new ones, new perspectives on reality - at will."
- pretty much negates the whole concept.

When I dislocated my shoulder a few weeks ago they gave me nitrous oxide.
Unfortunately the cylinder wasn't working properly so I was just breathing
in air. Thankfully they noticed before they reset my arm. They also had to
give me a double dose of profodol because even when I was fully relaxed it
was too strong for them. Personally I couldn't feel anything and all I cared
about was getting it back where it should be.

I don't see the first point there. By default you develop a reality tunnel,
but, after understanding this, you can change it. Most people don't even
conceive that this could be happening, and therefore can't change it.
One suggestion from Chaos Magick has some relation to this. Change
something small in your life. It doesn't matter what it is. The order in
which you put your socks on, for example. Slowly your life will change.
Chaos Magick is the antithesis of Zen Buddhism. Chaos Magick is entirely
about belief - you pick a method that you like for any particular task -
and believe in it. It can be Wicca, or Harry Potter, it doesn't matter -
all that matters is belief. Zen Buddhism doesn't require belief - it
doesn't matter if Buddha existed, you just follow the philosophy. I do
both.

When I was waiting for an x ray there was someone who was using so much that
they had to stop her for a few minutes before she went in.
3 weeks since my bike accident and all I want to do is get rid of this sling

Not really. Everybody believes something. That they're a human being,
that the earth orbits the sun, that Pepsi Max is better than Coke, etc
etc. Chaos Magic is working with those kinds of beliefs, not just the
God stuff.

Evidence, or the lack thereof, is irrelevant for the purposes of CM.
Belief is a psychological construct that can be utilised: that's all
that matters.
