What ever happened to The Mike Flowers Pops?

Eh?

Their music was wonderfully contrived, and the afforelinked video even more
so. Mike Flowers (can't remember his real name) had excellent comic timing,
as did the producer of the video. I have the worrying feeling that you
thought that they were being serious...

No, I thought they were being twats.
They weren't good, they weren't funny, they were barely even attractive.
Worse than Mike Myers, even.

Replace the word "attractive" with "white", "heterosexual", or "English".

I watched that this very morning, about an hour ago.

There's a lot of his stuff on YT, well worth watching.

Oh my, he's talking to me, isn't he? What a good thing that I agree
with him 100%, except for that bit about Joe Peshy (sp?)

First time I've ever heard that, I believe. I thought it quite amusing
and was impressed by the attention to detail (e.g. using a Rickenbacker
bass guitar).

Well, that's cheered up an otherwise tedious lunch hour.

Well, there may have been a touch of hyperbole there.
Or was there?

Re: Wonderwall
I don't have a problem with Mike Flowers. At least he made
"Wonderwall" listenable.

Other fora have been occupying my time. I only manage to read about
four or five LiveJournalists a day. Still, I've not been a hermit.
I'm seeing Circulus on Thursday night & My Bloody Valentine on Sunday.
Woo.

Now watch this:

Then get her first album, "Dissected".

Even a bad dig at Oasis is better than no dig at Oasis. Shirley?
