Did the ls bit, then pwd, which gives:
PWD is also an initialism for "person with disabilities" or Portuguese
Water Dog. It can also be an initialism for Parkway Drive, an Australian
metalcore band. Other meanings include Public Works Department.
"initialism"? Time to start cleaning the guns...

Why? Initialism predates acronym by some time; acronym originally
meant pronounceable initialisms.

Now you're just being sensible. Anyway, I've never claimed that my posts
were actually rational.

Want to know the really sad thing?
When I first looked, it happened to be around 2.30 so was correct. So I
just had another look to check whether that was just a coincidence or
whether it was actually working.

I remember seeing a cartoon in some parish magazine or other, when I were a
lad, of a monk holding a candle up over a sundial and saying `Goodness! Is
that the time?'. It took me _ages_ to get it.
