I've been a subscriber for years - they print articles which are of
interest, not that they agree with. They regularly slam such bollocks as
The Da Vinci Code, etc. They're open minded, which IMHO is the best option
(see Wittgenstein's On Certainty):
<quote>
12. - For "I know" seems to describe a state of affairs which guarantees
what is known, guarantees it as a fact. One always forgets the expression
"I thought I knew".
</quote>
Now there's an idea to live one's life by.
For the whole thing.

So?
They still make money out of selling their rag.

Yes, they do, and? Watch those goalposts move.
Are you suggesting that such things should not be discussed? Take Crop
Circles. They exist. What causes them is not known. Doug and Dave claimed
to had made them all, which is clearly bollocks. Whoever makes them - why?
And I'm not looking for a pat answer - or "explaining them away". Ditto
UFOs - I doubt that they are alien spacecraft, but what causes the
perception of such things?
And what abut the rest of my post, especially:

If they're moving, you did it.
The vested interest I spoke of is right there. They sell a magazine.
I'm not saying they shouldn't, only that they do.

What about it?
I can't see how it's relevant. Does it excuse scams, snake-oil and other
assorted bollocks?

You're the one claiming to be _certain_ about various issues.

What, that a 7,000 dollar cable isn't worth it?

Wow. And all that from a mere 500 dollar cable!

I'm out in Poonah and, thick as I am I don't know what a Dust Devil is.
Google seems to tell me it is some sort of motor vehicle but I can't see
how rabbits would 'set them off' unless they're running on rabbit blood
or something. Could you explain.

Crop Circles are made by human beings. That is known. In many cases it is
thoroughly documented.
<http://www.circlemakers.org/>
Some people make them for a laugh. Some people make them as a form of
art. Some people make them for money (a pub or B&B somewhere that has
become a regular haunt of "cerealogists" can make quite a decent profit
from it).
