Study says UK's drug problem is worst in Europe
http://www.votivation.com/admin/opinion.php?opinion_id=1806

I think that: A quite useless study declares something we already knew: the use of drugs in England is increasing.
Because: Britain has the worst level of drug abuse in Europe and the second-highest rate of drug-related deaths, according to a study published on Wednesday. The number of heroin users in England alone is estimated at 281,000 and the use of cocaine and cannabis among young people is increased rapidly over the past 20 years. The government insists that its strategy to tackle drug abuse has been a success, with record numbers of people entering and staying in treatment, but, unfortunately, it seems that anti-drug campaigns, has had a minimum impact on the level of drug abuse in Britain.
ItÂ’s clear that longer jail sentences, more arrests, but above all education and treatment could cut the number of addicts or the availability of drugs.
