Good Cause Interview
I have just signed on as unemployed but those nice people at the Job Centre
are paying me bugger all because my wife who left 6 weeks ago gets the child
benefit and the people at Newcastle can't transfer over the payments so now
I am expected to bring up two kids on f**k all.
To cap it all they want to reclaim maintenance off of her through the CSA. I
have have said that I don't want the CSA involved as she is suicidal, being
declared bankrupt and is on benefit herself.
Now the Child benefit agency can't transfer the benfit over in 6 weeks, I
get my tax credits stopped in a week but they take 3 weeks to send me a form
to reclaim but the Job Centre gets a bloody CSA form out in a day.
How come these bloody people are more interesting in reclaiming money than
finding me a job or paying me some benefit. Can they actually claim off a
benefit claimant when they are paying me f**k all anyway.
I guess this is how Nulabour does things.
The other thing is that they haven't asked me to sign on or given me any
information on how I sign off if I find work. Mind you I am getting nothing
so I guess it makes no odds if I sign off or not.

Ummm....with you claiming benefit, you have to give good reason why
CSA shouldn't be involved.
Her being suicidal may be good cause not to make a claim. But might
not be.
If not accepted, its you that faces reduction in benefit if not
claiming child support.
Is it jobseekers allowance you are claiming for, or income support?
Jobseekers is signing on, income support isn't.
And yes, child benefit can take a while to transfer the claim. But
they can be chased up.
