0845
The Job Centre Plus has a new "one stop shop" style telephone number -
0845 6088578.
Where can I find the actual, and expected, performance figures for this
number?
Maybe I'm unlucky, but everytime I call everyone is busy and I have to call
back. When I eventually get past that message there's an enormous wait to
get through.

Write and req them under the Freedom of Information Act in theory any
office would do but as the information you are asking for is high
level national data prob best to address the letter to the cheif
exec.

A letter in the post to the local MP might be worth a stamp.
There was an item on breakfast bbc yesterday about GP surgeries using
08 numbers with new call systems and some passed on the cost to
patients.

You should be glad it's an 0845 number then because a normal landline
number usually costs more in the day! Unless you've got BT option 3
or equivalent, or have some rip-off "inclusive minutes" mobile
contract which doesn't include some types of "minutes" like 08
numbers.
