JSA:Home visit by Customer Compliance Officer?
Recieved a letter about a visit next week to 'discuss a query that has
arisen concerning your claim to benefit'.

It asks to have such things as Bank statements, bills etc available.

Has anyone had one of these? I'm curious as to why a home visit rather than
calling me in? Should I be concerned?

Thanks for any info/help.

Cheers, Paul.

Not if you've got anything to hide and have been totally
above board with them, no.

A home visit is simply a further way of checking insofar as
this is possible, that you are who you say you are.

Quite possibly they do spot checks at random and your number
had been drawn.

They do this both to keep claimants on their toes - they don't
like claimants getting into the habit of just signing on
every week - and maybe in the hope you'll ask other claimants
about this and thus put the sh*ts up them as well.

In short if you're on the level with nothing to hide then you've
got nothing to worry about.

Yes you should be concerned, they are wasting our taxes for nothing as
usual. What happens is some geezer or bird will call round to your house, he
or she will ask you if you live there, you reply, "I fucking hope so" then
present the same documents you have made available to them a thousand times
over (the ones they already have copies of) and thats it.

Contact your MP and complain.

I imagine though they have a nice look round to see if you're fiddlin
the system if they see things that you couldn't possibly afford on the
dole.

Is it really, well FYI its the staff wage bill and money they waste on
useless courses, thats where the billions go.
A few jokers getting 50 quid a week is of little consequence.

Is it really, well FYI its the staff wage bill and money they waste on
useless courses, thats where the billions go.
A few jokers getting 50 quid a week is of little consequence.

Not if you've got anything to hide and have been totally
above board with them, no.

A home visit is simply a further way of checking insofar as
this is possible, that you are who you say you are.

Quite possibly they do spot checks at random and your number
had been drawn.

They do this both to keep claimants on their toes - they don't
like claimants getting into the habit of just signing on
every fortnight - and maybe in the hope you'll ask other claimants
about this and thus put the sh*ts up them as well.

It's only the same as wasting our taxes paying people benefits at giro
drops.

It's only the same as wasting our taxes paying people benefits at giro
drops.
