Abolish parish and town councils
There is a review of local government going on? County councils to be
abolished? If this is the case could someone please get rid of parish
and town councils?

I have just walked down a non descript street in Haverhill that claims
to be a high street and I see on a notice board a notice for a vacancy
for yet another Haverhill town councillor. LMAO Haverhill North must be
cursed as the turnover of councillors in that ward is alarmingly high.
The latest town councillor to leave the Haverhill town council fold is
a Mr Crane, some young dude, who was in office for a very short time
and for some unknown reason has quit. This will be the second
Haverhill tory to quit in as many months. I am wondering if Mrs Marks
(wife of Haverhill Town tory mayor, Tim Marks), or whatever name she
likes to call herself these days, can explain what has been happening
on this town council to initiate this latest loss of councillors? At
least Mrs Marks cannot blame this resignation on me lol

Anyway, this brings me to the point that town and parish councils have
served their purpose and it is now time to call it a day with these
institutions and get rid of them. Young people are not interested in
serving free of charge on a parish or town council which costs a lot of
money and has no power. These parish level councils are held together
by baby boomers, who when they move on will not be replaced by the
younger generations.
